Hi Friends !

I’m Alexis. I’m an adopted Chinese-American actress, writer and activist based in Manhattan. A true theatre kid by nature. I’ve been training in NYC most of my life & teamed up with Buchwald Agency when I was fifteen years old. I would love to thank my moms, family, incredible Buchwald team, teachers & friends who have been on this journey.

Stay tuned for some exciting new projects :)

What to Expect From Disney+ High School Musical: The Musical: The Series-

Reinders: One of our kids, Alexis Nelis [who plays Natalie], the first day she said, “Oh my gosh, I saw you on Broadway as Glinda when I was six!” And I was like, “Ouch.” But it’s not that I’m old Broadway; it’s more the responsibility I feel as being the mom on set and wanting to show them work ethic and support of their fellow actors and respect for everyone involved. I think that’s something you really learn in theatre. You learn that everyone backstage, everyone ripping your clothes off and putting them back on again—everyone is so important.

I’m honestly looking forward to watching the rest of the series and would definitely recommend original HSM fans give this show a shot. In the words of stage manager Natalie (Alexis Nelis), “Buckle up, Wildcats! Sh*t’s about to get real.”

Natalie Could Be The Show's Martha Cox

Natalie has thus far been a little overlooked on the series, and she seemingly quit her stage manager role in the second episode. But, like how Martha Cox (Kaycee Stroh) was a background character until her breakout "Stick to the Status Quo" performance, Natalie's vocal skills IRL indicate that more is coming for her character soon.

"Buckle up Wildcats, s––ts about to get real," says Alexis Nelis in the trailer of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and she could not be more right.

The ten-episode-long series revolves around a high school production of HSM, and the school theatre stage is far from the only place where drama plays out.
